This is like a resort, with a beautiful swimming pool equipped with deck chairs and thatched umbrellas and palm trees. My room was facing the pool, with a balcony, and all are single storey. The buildings were uniquely 'Mykonos', means bright white with some blue. Room and bathroom were potless clean and comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served at pool side, buffet style, not like a five starred hotel but man, it's more that enough. Especially like the thick Greek yogurt with honey. The owner was very nice and helpful. Location wise, at the fringe of town and slightly elevated but still within walking distance to town centre.
The only problem was the location in the map at Booked.net Bear in mind that in Mykonos town, the streets have no name and the houses and buildings have no address. Strange but that the case. Booked.net showed a place which was very far away, I guess it was the middle of the postcode zone? (yes they have postcode but no street name) But if you contact the owner, he will pick you up and send you to the port.
The hotel staff was excellent and the facilities were perfect too.
The touristic agency that is involved in the booking of this hotel tried to tell me that the shuttle bus from the hotel to the airport was not included even if it was written in the hotel facilities. In the end they came to pick us up but we had to argue by phone. It's not so close by foot to the center of Mikonos town.
Comfortable and with reasonably good proximity to the town. Good for budget relaxation. Large, spacious room. Good wifi. Comfortable bed. Nice pool.
Reception almost permenantly unattended.
Nice place to stay I'd like to go back there
Beautiful pool area With great jacuzzi The first studio apartment we were given was in the older part of the complex it over looked the car park & had a fruit tree right outside which may have been nice but meant the area was full of flies to the point we had to buy fly spray. For our second week we asked to be moved to one of the apartments around the pool this was lovely modern with a great view & little patio area - this was so much better. The bar isn't staffed in the usual way if you wanted anything you could knock on the owners apartment & they were always polite and accomadating. This meant you could have your own food and drink around the pool which if you need to can really keep costs down as Mykonos can be quite expensive. The apartments are only a 10min walk from town (but ask owners about the steps as the road can be a bit scary & a longer walk).
We could recommend the pool apartment rather than the older side as this was just a bit tired!
all is ok the price good for this hotel, maby the brekfast not good. need to rent some car or motor for be in mykonos ,
Very friendly staff and the room was amazing. Clean and bathrooms were excellent. Always hot running water!
Our room was situated right next to the swimming pool and the furniture was very modern and nice.
The swimming pool area is very nice and clean and is in fact the only redeeming factor about this hotel. Basic but clean room.
Very poor breakfast, awful coffee. No shower screen/curtain. Overpriced. Except for port/airport pick up, no other transfer available (like back to port/airport or into town, given its location - which is a service offered by many other hotels situated a fair distance from the town centre). Little English spoken. Not much concept of service with a smile. Overpriced (we paid €125 per night for what is effectively a 1.5-2 star hotel).
The only positive point is the location, only 15 min walking from the centre but far enough from the noisy downtown discos. As the breakfast is basic and not very good, you are also very close from a Starbucks café (5 min walking, take the direction of the airport)
Very basic hotel, low budget but not very clean, small rooms, old and dirty bathroom. Breakfast is basic (awfull .... thanks God there is a Starbucks café at 5 min walking) Check your reservation to avoid to be charged twice for the breakfast !!! Nice swimming pool but too cold (Mykonos is very windy) Owner and staff are not very friendly You have to insist for the free shuttle to the port or airport
Lovely pool, friendly staff, I would recommend staying here. Location could be be better though
Great value for money. Rooms had ok facilities, good a\c and wifi.
The team was great. Helped each request favorably and with a smile. The place is quiet and calm.
The breakfast was too poor in my opinion. Pillow was not comfortable for me and I could fall asleep but I did not asked for replacement. The hotel's location a bit far from the city and is located on a hill but Mykonos required some vehicles And therefore it is not significant
It is quite attractive with many palm trees and a swimming pool on the premises. Our group consisted of two couples. One couple was booked into one of the newer double rooms, which was really very comfortable. Their breakfast is included in the room rate. My husband and I stayed in one of the studio rooms (no 205), equipped with a kitchenette. The studios are part of the hotel's old section, and are not up to standard. Some of the cutlery, crockery and other utensils of the kitchenette are simply missing, making it impossible to cook a meal there. Our breakfast is not included in the room rate, presumably because we should have been able to cook our own. So we were charged extra for having the hotel's breakfast.
We were disappointed with our accommodation (the studio). The kitchenette is not properly equipped to cook any meal there. The hand wash basin and kitchen sink have no plugs and none were supplied to us, even after we asked for it. The stove does not work properly. There is no shower curtain for the shower. We would really not recommend other travelers to book a studio at the Petinaros hotel. The hotel is situated far from the Hora (main village) and one must walk down and up very steep hills to and from the village. It is also not situated close to any bus stop.
Bit of a walk to the town but not too bad. Especially good after a meal out to help it all go down. Nice pool for chilling out in - can do some lengths but a bit small for that really. Rooms lovely, staff really helpful, close to airport but far enough away not to be too close ie aircraft noise etc. Taxi's are really hard to find on Mykonos so if you want to eat out and have a few drinks and not drive make sure you get somewhere not too far to walk etc. was great place in all. Stayed for 1 night at the start of our holiday and 2 at the end so we could get the right ferries for our onward journey to Ios.
Nothing really. Distance from main bus stop I guess, but there are so many car / bike / atv hire places that it's not really an issue.
